She Thicc: Skogafoss
Skogafoss is one of Iceland's largest waterfalls. Although she is almost the same height as Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss is a wide load. Some might say thicc. 82 ft wide to be precise. That's a lot of water

When you see Skogafoss from the main road, it doesn't appear that big, but once you start to approach, you notice all those little dots below are people. We walked right up to the falls. and even from a far distance you could feel the coolness of the water on your skin. Shows just how powerful it is.

To the right of the falls there was an intriguing staircase with no signs, so we decided to be a Girl Scout and explore. Up we go. We huffed and puffed our way to the top of what ended up being 500 stairs.

An observation deck, bonus waterfall, and extra paths to explore awaited us at the top. It made the lung pain worth it.

You could spend a lot of time walking the paths up there, but we booked a tour later in the day to do a glacier trek, (read all about that here), so we were trying to keep on track. Our tums started to growl as we made our way back down, so we found a nearby bistro in Hotel Skogafoss to have a quick bite. (note: parking is free at Skogafoss, but the port-o-potty like bathrooms cost a small fee, however, if you go inside Hotel Skogafoss, you can use their nice clean restrooms for free)

At the bistro you order and pay at the bar, then sit and they'll bring it out to you. We tried Icelandic Meat Soup, which they bring out with bread, and a Somersby Hard Apple Cider. I recommend both!
