Dyrholaey
Dyrholaey is a scenic peninsula that looms right over Reynisfjara black sand beach. It's full of big views, a light house, and if you're lucky puffins.

As we made our way up to the top of Dyrholaey, it started to get extremely windy and down pour with snow. We sat in the car for a bit hoping it would die down, but it just kept coming, so we bundled up and braved the cold. I felt like SpongeBob delivering pizza in the wind storm, "The Krusty Krab pizza, is the pizza for you and meee". There are tons of gravel paths you can spend time walking along on a beautiful day, but we were so cold that we walked at lightening speed to hit the highlights. Call us Lightening McQueen. We saw the dramatic coastline views, which kind of reminded me of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, as well as a natural arch, then we jumped right back in the heated car to defrost.
