Drink. Drank. Drunk: The Best Napa Valley Wineries

There are a million wineries in Napa Valley.. okay..not actually, more like hundreds, but it sure feels like millions when you're trying to figure out which ones to go to. It can be overwhelming. So let me help you out. Here are my 3 favorite Napa Valley Wineries:

Domaine Carneros

Wandering around the grounds of Domaine Carneros felt like I was on the set of Princess Diaries. This beautiful French Chateau specializes in sparkling wine, and who doesn't love a good bubbly? Enjoy great service, good size pours and a delicious charcuterie board under the beige umbrellas on their stunning terrace. Reservations are required.

Del Dotto Estate Winery

I first heard about Del Dotto from an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians. Don't judge. But if it's Kris Jenner approved, then it must be good. And it was. There are a few different Del Dottos in Napa, but we chose the St. Helena one. It was more on the expensive side for a tasting, but was WELL worth it. The experience starts from the second you walk in to all the decor imported from Italy *cue Italian hand. We were guided behind a red curtain and into the wine cave, where rows of oak barrels sit. Our guide extracted the wine directly from the barrel and poured it straight into our glasses. He was very generous with his pours (majority reds), which of course we love, and following our tasting, we were given fresh tater tots and hot homemade sourdough pizza, included in the tour. It was a pleasant surprise! Our guide said they know other wineries offer cheese and crackers, but they wanted to be different. Me likey. Reservations are required.

Chandon

Okay, I love my bubbly. Sue me. But Chandon really delivers. Their recently renovated property was beautifully designed with nature in mind, and felt simple, open and bright. We were told the ceiling on the back tasting patio was made to feel like you are in a wine barrel, which mission accomplished. We did a bubbly flight, which to our surprise came with a little food pairing too. It gave off fancy restaurant with small portions that leave you wanting more vibes. Following our tasting, we took a walk around the gardens and paths, which will motivate anyone out there to become a gardener. 10/10 recommend. Reservations are required.

PS. If you're looking for a hotel in Napa, we enjoyed our stay at Elm House Inn. It was a great location to reach wineries in both Napa and Yountville
