Diamond (beach) is a Girl's Best Friend
They say diamond's are a girl's best friend, and who doesn't love a big ole rock? Or in this case, a big ole chunk of ice.

Diamond Beach is right downstream from Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. It was formed from the ice chunks of the lagoon floating and washing up onto the sandy black shore. The way the sun hits the ice, makes it glistens and resemble a diamond.

To reach the beach, we drove across the bridge going in the direction towards Reykjavik, and parked in the left gravel lot for free. The beach stretches on for a while, so it didn't ever seem too crowded, unless you stayed right by the parking lot. It's a quick little stop, maybe allow 15 minutes, depending how cold!
