The whimsical lobby decor will draw you in, but it's the all-inclusive concept, central location, and cheerful staff who make this boutique hotel a real winner in my eyes. There's no doubt that it will definitely meet all your high expectations (see what I did there.. high.. in Amsterdam.. gosh I need to get a life).

We rolled up in our UBER to the hotel, where we were greeted by the friendly, well dressed (I mean, guys, he had a pocket square and scarf), Dutch man who went by the name of Elmo. Yes, like tickle me Elmo. He then informed us that the hotel is completely all-inclusive. Hubba! Hubba! An open bar in the lobby? Check! A fully-stocked Mini-fridge? Check! and not to mention, a local Dutch cheeseboard and meats in the lobby nightly at 5pm. Who doesn't love a charcuterie board, aka an adult lunchable?

We made our way up to our room, where we had a view of the peaceful canal below. Majority of European hotel rooms are small compared to American standards, but these were quite spacious for Europe. Comfy beds, a big bathroom, full decanters, and even a cute "Banks Mansion" reusable gift bag all awaited us. (Anne) Frankly, we were on cloud nine.

Let's talk location next. Banks Mansion is right on the well-known Herengracht Canal, which is only a hop, skip, and a jump from Bloemenmarkt (flower market) and Dam Square. It's also only a 15 minute walk to the Museumplein for all you museum-goers out there. In my opinion, the perfect home base to everything we wanted to do in A'dam.

As if the comfort and location weren't enough, the breakfast. ahh. the breakfast. Delightful! Made to order eggs, omelets, french toast, or pancakes, as well as cold cuts, cereals, and a fresh OJ machine. So fresh, you can actually see the oranges in the machine squeezing the juice.

What are you waiting for? Next time your in Amsterdam, look no further. Book your stay at the Banks Mansion and you can thank me later. :)

xoxo,

Em
