Today we travelled from Cintsa to Port Elizabeth. We checked out the beautiful beach for a quick photo op, then we headed to Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (Nmmu). It was surprisingly a lot like a university in the US. I was expecting a lot less students to be able to go to college, but there are 27,000 students here. Cardi’s cousin, Rowan, showed us around. We started in the International building. Then we worked our way to the library. It had multiple stories, but the books were lacking. I did notice a US history book though! From the library we walked around the campus to the auditorium which was top notch, we saw the outside of the dorms, cafeteria, gym, and union. All looking pretty similar to the US Universities.

We finished up at the university and headed to Nandos for lunch. Never disappointing! Then we were on our way to our campsite. It was called Tube N Axe near tsitsikamma. It was FREEZING!! Kaede ray, crysten, and I went to the lodge area to sit around a giant campfire. Warmth! Then we got a drink called frutal brutal. We tried it in the mango flavor and the peach flavor. Yummy! We then went back to our small campfire near our tents and ate dinner prepared by cardi. Then went to bed early after eating cake for Mauros birthday! I went to bed wearing a long sleeve shirt, 3 jackets, yoga pants, sweat pants, my sleeping bag, and a blanket and I was still freezing!
xoxo,
