Booze Cruise in St. Lucia

Back to the early starts to head back to the South African border. The Swaziland border was pretty quick this time, but the lady was rude, which was unusual for Swaziland! She just threw our passports back at us.

We made it back into S Africa and we were on our way to St. Lucia! YAY! We are staying at a hotel here and we get wifi!! WOO! After our drive we arrived. There were “beware of hippo crossing” signs everywhere. The town was very cute! I shared a mini suite with Kaede Ray and Crysten. We got some quick wifi and then we walked up and down the town just checking out the shops! It was our first market experience here. We had barely any time in the town before we were on our way to a sunset hippo cruise. Or should I say booze cruise? So many people got shit-faced on the cruise. We saw tons of hippos frolicking in the water and the best sunset I’ve ever seen.

We made it back to the lodge and ate dinner. Cardi went to the local market and made fresh fish… it still had the eye in it.. ehh. Normally I would never eat that, but I pulled a YOLO! I tried it. It wasnt bad, but the bone was all still in it so it was difficult to eat. I dont like to think while Im eating, I just like to eat. After dinner we had birthday cake for Corrina’s birthday (The Swedish girl also on the nomad tour). It was so good. What I’ve noticed abroad it that they use real sugar, none of that fake crap we use in America. Then we also had some cinnamon custard to go over it. Yummy! After that we went upstairs and took showers and went to bed.

Em
