Art Tour in the French Riviera
Today I did an Art tour in the French Riviera! We travelled from Marseille to Nice first. Along the way we stopped at the Chagall museum to see some of his art. I honestly had never heard of him before this trip, but his art was pretty cool. Full of colors and his art had a lot of Religious Symbolism. I felt kind of awkward. I never know how long to stare at the art. I feel like I book it through the museum and then I’m like “Now what?”. I mean once you see it, you see it. I don’t understand the whole staring at each piece for like 15 minutes. Following that we got to explore Nice and grab some lunch. I LOVEEEEEE NICEEEEEE.
Seriously though, I am so sad I got to spend barely any time there because I feel like I could have spent forever there. I walked around with two of the girls I met on the program. We walked through the markets and came to this one little bakery where we grabbed some food to go and continued to walk since we had barely any time in Nice. This bakery was like heaven in shop form. I had turkey and tomato on a fresh baguette (A million times better than my first baguette). After we finished up walking I even came back to the same bakery to get a chocolate chip cookie and chocolate stuff croissant. Let me tell you.. You have not lived unless you have tried a chocolate stuffed croissant in France. Yummmmmmmmm.
After, we met back up with our group at the bus and travelled to Antibes. Here we saw the Picasso museum, which was interesting. It’s amazing how a guy who draws llamas like a kindergartener can become so famous. After this we got to adventure around Antibes, which was extremely overpriced, but we found this sculpture around there that is a bunch of letters combined to form a human. It was pretty rad.
