Casablanca, Morocco

--Casablanca is not the prettiest of places...It’s a little fishy and trashy, but the people along the side of the street kept saying ‘welcome to Morocco’ so they were very friendly!

--Watch out where you get your currency from because the ATM sucked up my friend’s card -I had no clue how bad the language barrier was here. They don’t speak any English AT ALL. Normally in some other places they know the basic English words, but not here. They only speak Arabic or French. Am I the only one who didn’t know they spoke French here? Crazy!

--Went to Rabat after some difficulty, which was pretty cool. It was a lot cleaner and prettier than Casablanca.

--The Local café we ate lunch at was playing Ke$ha in the background.

--I tried my first Moroccan dishes. I had some mint tea, which Morocco is known for, and it was delish! I also tried some little kebab thing. Basically meat on a stick and it came with French fries.. haha. MERICA! I am not a huge fan of crazy spices so trying this stuff is definitely going out of my comfort zone, but It was pretty good.

--The markets go on for MILES. It was basically one giant tent, with sheets hanging covering us. It was overwhelming, but amazing all at the same time.

--Tons of people were walking through the markets with boogey boards and bathing suits on, which I didn’t expect at all… so we followed a bunch of them (as sketch as it sounds) and we ended up at a HUGE area that is kind of like their beach. It had some pretty houses on the side of the walls overlooking the waterway and people were on jet skis and swimming around.

--I got whistled at.
