Ahoy!
After waking up and eating breakfast with my mom before leaving her at the hotel in London, I got in line and checked in my luggage to head to the MV Explorer (fancy name for our ship!)

Not gonna lie I was quite intimidated already. Everyone was in cliques and I was all alone not knowing anyone. Quite scary indeed. But While waiting in line I met my closest friend on the ship so far- Nicole. She goes to school in CA and is a rising senior. So we explored the ship after the bus ride and ate lunch. Which brings me to another point. The food here is DISGUISTING. It is like the Max (my home cafeteria.), but 1000 X’s worse. Literally. They just have some brown lettuce with nasty dressing, noodles with green crap on it, and a roll. Well I just ate the roll and a couple noodles… I think I’m gonna die of starvation or carb overload. After that Nicole and I went back to our separate rooms to unpack and meet our room mates. My Room mate is going to be a freshman at UCLA. I don’t really know what to think of her so far… She occasionally makes some odd know it all remarks when she is the youngest and then sometimes she is nice. So I don’t know. I mean it is only the first day.. and she has never experienced college. Oh and our room is extremely small. I am officially getting the dorm room experience that I missed out on at GCSU, which had GIANT dorm rooms. If I stick my hand out I can touch the other bed. And our bathroom has a shower half the size of the one I had at school. Small! But that’s okay! I don’t think I’ll spend much time at all in my room. I went back to hanging out with Nicole and we met a couple other people just hanging out. There are a lot of nice people so far! (by the way, Kelly, I met a Chi O at Oregon St. and she is really nice! Plus there are a lot of other ones on here too!) Basically all today was just chill though. We had a speaker introduce us to the faculty through the TV and tell us that we can’t go to Istanbul because of the riots.. Which is understandable, but I was looking forward to that one cause I had a field program. I hope they can reschedule it. But some good news did come out of it! We are adding TWO new ports! The dean described it as BOGO. Haha. I like him already. We are going to Crete, Greece and Kusadasi, Turkey! Woo! Orientation all day tomorrow from 9am- 9pm.
